Brian Dawkins Will Officially Retire As An Eagle On Sunday
Philly.com – Brian Dawkins will sign a one-day contract and officially retire an Eagle on Saturday, team sources said. The Eagles have scheduled an 11 a.m. press conference for Dawkins, who announced his retirement from football on Monday. The veteran safety played his last three seasons in Denver but will be most remembered for his passionate 13 years in Philadelphia. A number of Dawkins’ ex-teammates have already told the Eagles that they plan to attend Saturday’s announcement at the NovaCare Complex. There are expected to be a few surprise guests. The Eagles will also honor Dawkins during the prime time game against the New York Giants on Sept. 28 at Lincoln Financial Field. Dawkins’ No. 20 jersey is expected to be retired at some point.
Can’t we just sneak in a few zeros after the ’1′ and keep Dawk around for 100 or 1000 days? C’mon Howie you’re a slick-talking contract magician — do some work.
That Dawkins honoring at the Eagles/Giants night game is gonna insane. He’s gonna give a speech and make that entire crowd cry, doggonit.

ehhh
glad to hear it. anything else just wouldn’t be right.
“Allll get the ball, allll go get the ball tonight.”
