Funny that he actually went through the trouble of — as crossingbroad pointed out — changing the picture like nobody would notice:
Still doesn’t seem like a big deal to me. It’s not as if he had some sort of mental condition that forced him into killing dogs — all of that was part the fight training and aftermath. Dude probably has a small poodle that he’s lucky enough to never have to walk ever. “Sorry babe, you know the neighbors can’t see me with that thing.” All the fun of a dog with none of the hassle.

Vick’s was not a crime of passion, it wasn’t heat of the moment. It was systematic and repeated torture. He’s a sociopath who shouldn’t even be allowed to own a dog.

@cfoggot: perfectly worded. Vick is a maniacal, dog-murdering sociopath who shouldnt be allowed near a dog, let alone own one. He showed absolutely ZERO remorse until a judgement of guilt forced him to acquiesce and show remorse. I believe him to be a sociopath incapable of empathy and compassion. His actions proved that hypothesis and a simple prison term did nothing to re-wire Vick’s genetic proclivity for sociopathy.

@thewetbandits: assuming responsibility for a crime when it is expedient for the criminal is an absolute hallmark of sociopathy. When they are caught, they will do whatever best suits them. Often showing true remorse. This remorse, however, is not for those they have harmed but a lament that they are caught and their lives are about to be affected. Sociopaths are hyper-aware of their own interests and will do whatever it takes in pursuit of those completely selfish interests even if that means admitting to crimes – again, they do this knowing they will come out better in the end than fighting the allegations.
0 problem with Vick owning a dog. He’s probably good at training and talk g care of them. Owning a dog fighting ring is completely different than owning a dog

@wilburham if you know anything about his case his “family” dog was at the kennels when they busted the place. he even put it in the ring before. so no he does not deserve a dog. he is sick. i vote 10
