I Don’t Wanna Say These Bulls Fans Who Got Shot On The El Had It Coming But They Definitely Should Have Made Better Life Choices
Saw that one of the comments for the Barstool Chicago story on this was waiting for me to give a 10 paragraph diatribe on race in America. Why would I? This case isn’t about race or sports. This is about dumb people not recognizing when they should shut the fuck up.
Most humans have a very basic “I better chill” instinct that kicks in when they’re about to put themselves in trouble — apparently these Bulls fans lack that instinct. Well, at least the one THIRTY-SIX YEAR OLD MAN who was “quarrelling” with a couple of possibly-violent teenagers was lacking it. The other guy is only dumb for letting his friend talk that much shit before telling him to shut up.
This isn’t about Philly fans or race or none of that. This is about common sense. If I were in Chicago and riding public transpo after a Sixers win and were in my mid thirties and getting into a shouting match with a couple of scary teenagers who may or may not be carrying concealed weapons — I’d pretty much be expecting to get shot.
Those guys are stupid. Better believe a life lesson in humility was learned last night.
PS – Did a quick Wiki trying to find statistical proof that Chicago is more violent than Philly, but it turns out Chi-town CONVENIENTLY doesn’t keep stats for violent crime, forcible rape, or arson. Nice work, Windy City politicians. Nobody slimes game like Chicago.
