DM – A German court’s ban on circumcising baby boys has provoked a rare show of unity between Jews, Muslims and Christians who see it as a threat to religious freedom. Doctors have also warned it could increase health risks by forcing the practice underground. European rabbis meeting in Berlin yesterday promised to defy the ruling by a court in the city of Cologne last month. They plan further talks with Muslim and Christian leaders in Stuttgart next week to see how they can fight the ban together. ‘We urge the Jewish community in Germany and circumcisers to continue to perform circumcisions and not to wait for a change in the law,’ said the chief rabbi of Moscow Pinchas Goldschmidt. Goldschmidt said outlawing circumcision was the ‘worst attack on Jews since the Holocaust.’ He demanded that Angela Merkel’s government intervened to guarantee their religious rights. He added that the the ban is a new example of creeping prejudice in European law against non-Christians, after a Swiss ban on minarets, French and Belgian bans on Islamic veils in public, and an attempted Dutch ban on halal meat.

So does this mean every kid in Germany is going to have a little extra casing on his brat? It shouldn’t be legal to legislate that. Sure, circumcisions are somewhat unnatural and sound barbaric when spoken about objectively, but who wants a whole country filled with ant eater dicks? I don’t even like dicks and I wouldn’t wanna live there. No way women from pro-circumcision countries move to Germany now.
