The Celts are trying to conserve mental and physical energy for Miami. Obviously this makes them vulnerable to losses like Game 2, but there really is no question that they are quite a bit better than Philly if Pierce is somewhat healthy. The only real issue in this series is whether Boston takes its foot back off the pedal and lets Philly hang around until Game 6. If so, Philly has a small but measurable chance to steal the series. And of course, Boston is as old as dirt, and a serious injury to KG, Rondo, or Pierce would change the equation dramatically.
