Jordan Says He Still Takes Kobe Over LeBron Because ‘Five [Rings] Beats One Every Time I Look At It’

Let it be known that I’m personally a huge fan of all three of these guys, so unlike a lot of people at this site I don’t have some vendetta against any of them. Yet let’s be honest: LeBron was lying his ass off in this interview.
See, one of the biggest reasons why Kobe Bryant is (and will forever be) higher on my personal favorite athletes list is because he (like Jordan) legitimately doesn’t care what other people think. LeBron SAYS he doesn’t do what he does “for other people’s approval”, but any sports fan that has been watching the guy’s career can tell you that’s a lie. LeBron LOVES attention and acceptance, and until only recently couldn’t operate effectively without it. It took him a full year to get over being disliked after The Decision, and while he can claim to being a different person since then, one doesn’t remake their entire personality over a few years. Sure he can play effectively and efficiently without everyone loving him, but that doesn’t mean he still doesn’t like or desire that feeling.
Kobe — he don’t give no fucks. Jordan — he don’t give no fucks. LeBron — definitely cares what people think. “That doesn’t matter to me.” Yeah, okay LeBron. That’s why your cell phone wallpaper is a photoshop of you and MJ.

You really don’t think Kobe cares about his legacy? Thats all he cares about. By definition your legacy is what people think about you. The whole “I dont give a shit I’ll say whatever I want” is just his lame shtick because its what his idol Jordan would do
The question, who is the better player is much more difficult.. Kobe is clearly more successful; I don’t think anyone can argue that.. It also helps he has been in the league for 7 more years.
Jordan based his whole career off what people thought of him. Ever listened to his HOF speech? Moe you are the worst
the fact you cant see Kobe does everything he can to seem “cool” and “badass” is embarrassing. Anyway, Lebron is a fucking monster, and yes he may be better than jordan
right now, kobe isn’t in lebron’s league
if lebron iddnt care why the fuck did he have to make a section out of my espn watching to bullshit an hour then say his decision … tweet it like durant did and move on, immature bron bron
@datdood, the difference jordan used it to better himself, he didn’t let it rattle him like lebron has for almost his whole career
No doubt in my mind Durant finishes with more ships then Lebron.
and….Kobe isn’t nearly as big of a Douche Bag.
ESPN is such a joke. Everyone and their mom knows Jordan retired in 93 because he was going to be suspended yet these “journalists” parade around and talk about how he lost his will to play…. sure thing guys
Mo – stop fucking posting about basketball. your skin color doesnt automatically make you knowledgeable about the sport and all your blogs about the NBA clearly prove that.
jordan was surrounded by talent. kobe was surrounded by talent. lebron has been surrounded by talent for 2yrs and went to the championship both times winning one thus far. lebron is without question a better player than kobe. but kobe was lucky going to a franchise loaded with talent so he could win. lebron spent 7yrs in a shit hole single handedly taking their team into the playoffs every year
you know what bron brons cell wallpaper is
I would take Durant over either.
What does Bill Russell have to say on this matter?
adam morisson has more rings then lebron….does that mean MJ would rather have him over lebron. fuck jordan
lebron is just a pussy cry baby.
All I can say is that watching Kobe play night in and night out since 1996 has been amazing. Dude still blows my mind. His footwork and dedication is unparalleled.
@reppinme, Bulls in 1995 had Luc Longley, Steve Kerr, Ron Harper, Jud Buechler, Jason Caffey, Randy Brown, Dickey Simpkins and Bill Wennington. Then they had Pippen, Rodman and Kukoc. That Bulls club was .500 when MJ returned in -94, and every single one of those players were available if you wanted to trade for them, except Kukoc. Rodman was traded for Will Perdue, so that tells you what the league thought of Dennis at that time. Rebounder, all-around wing player, scorer off the bench and bunch of white stiffs and role players. That was the Bulls in a nutshell. Unlike the Lakers, who had the most dominant (and best) player in the NBA during their 3-peat, and his name was not Kobe.
…And MJ would take Adam Morrison over Lebron because “two beats one every time I look at it”
LBJ is the best ever hands down. His teams were mediocre at best yet he took them to the playoffs.
Don’t forget MJ played in five losing seasons and his stats were padded by 35% with the Jordan Rules. Even with that LBJ will surpass his numbers.
Kobe and Jordan grew up with fathers. Lebron didn’t.
