Last night was the perfect game if you’re a Sixers fan. Kobe went off early, double and triple-teamed at times, draining threes from 3-4 feet behind the arc and doing all that ridiculous shit people expect and pay to see out of the greatest basketball player of this generation. But as Kobe cooled, Lou Will went off like a dude really gunning for that 6th Man award. Twenty-four points out of a bench player? Leading scorer not even starting? There’s a reason this team is 18-7. Everybody is buying into Doug Collins’ system, they’re all on the same page defensively, and the Sixers hold the best 6-8 rotation in the league.

Sure it’s frustrating when I go to ESPN and see a front-page article about some Asian dude on the terrible Knicks because he had a couple good games — but I’ll let them have it. New York can get all the press in the world whenever any minuscule flicker of of Chinese Taiwanese hope scores 20-something, I’d rather be leading the division with the better team and a win over the bulls. Maybe the streaking Celtics and the future Baron Davis’d Knicks can close in and make it interesting, but until then I couldn’t care less about their bum-ass squads.

Iggy held Kobe to 1 of 10 in the fourth, Evan Turner is playing like a #2 pick, and the “easy schedule” Sixers took out another contender. Clap your hands. And feel free to make your own Lou Williams Bobblehead meme here.

PS – The real reason for the Sixers’ success — they don’t turn the ball over. Only 4 turnovers all game last night and the team is way in front of the rest of the league averaging only 10.7 a game.
PPS – Oh, and this guy:
