If you’ve ever lost or had a smartphone stolen, you’re not alone. In the United States, about 113 smartphones go missing each minute (that’s 160,000 a day and about 30 million a year!).
The top 10 cities for lost or stolen phones (as determined by Lookout’s “Find my Phone” feature which allows smartphone users to track their missing phones) are:
4. Long Beach
9. New York
Personally, I don’t appreciate the negative tone of this article. They’ve got it all wrong. It isn’t about what cities have the most smartphones stolen, it’s about what cities have the most sophisticated smartphone thieves. I’d like to think a town that can lift as many iPhones as Philly does should be given its due credit for having the most cunning, technologically-savvy criminals in the country. Show some respect.
