I was just listening to Mikey Miss and somebody called in mentioning Bynum’s domination during the period of time when Kobe sat with a shin injury near the end of the year. It was a perfect sample size — 7 games — and includes 2 contests against the surging Spurs. Stats are facts, folks:

That’s an average of 23 and 14 when there was no Alpha dog gunner Kobe on the floor and Mike Brown was instead running the offense through the post. Twenty-three and fourteen. I’ll take it.
